Did the Hollies ever record this song? I found it on Youtube and it claims to be by the Hollies but it doesn't sound like them at all. It doesn't sound like Marmalade either.

Hi Lynda

I'm sure the Hollies never recorded this song.

If the YouTube clip is this one, then it is definitely by Marmalade:

Yes, that's the one, John. It didn't actually sound like Marmalade either but I was almost certain it wasn't the Hollies.

No The Hollies never recorded the song, Marmalade did - they wrote it (penned by band members keyboardist/guitarist William 'Junior' Campbell & Lead singer Dean Ford - who also co-wrote 'Mr. Heartbreaker' & 'Pick Up The Pieces' with Terry Sylvester that The Hollies did record)

'Reflections...' was their first single on Decca records following their switch from CBS records and it peaked at No. 3 in the UK chart in late 1969 (also reaching no.10 in the USA on Billboard & No.7 on Cashbox charts) the single has sold over two million copies.

it is probably one of their strongest hits & songs, and can be found on the LP's;'Reflections of The Marmalade', 'The World of The Marmalade' (both Decca) & various Compact Disc Marmalade compilations

Yes, it's a great song. I just don't like their singing.
