This is an eleven track CD (Immortal IMA 105024) available through Amazon & Amazon UK (priced at just over seven UK pounds including UK postage), it is in mono with quite decent sound quality apparently from the TV soundtrack of The Hollies Golders Green Hippodrome Concert in February 1969 which BBC TV originally screened in May 1969 and was repeated on BBC Four Digital channel a few years back.
The songs included (as per the TV concert) are:
1. Carrie Anne
2.Just Like A Woman
3.'Hits Medley' (Just One Look/Bus Stop/On A Carousel/Sorry Suzanne)
4.Quit Your Low Down Ways
5.I'll Be Your Baby Tonight
6.Settle Down ('Maybe I'll Settle Down')
7.Stop Stop Stop
8.A Taste of Honey
9.Stewball
10.The Mighty Quinn
11.Blown in The Wind
The set includes rare concert only recording of 'Maybe I'll Settle Down' plus 'Sylvester Mark 2 Hollies' versions of 'Stewball', 'A Taste of Honey' etc which make this an interesting vintage concert recording from an era that is very under represented in The Hollies history by way of any other concert recordings.
The latter four tracks feature orchestral accompaniment directed by Arthur Greenslade (if I remember correctly)
The CD cover features a closer b/w copy of the 'Hollies Greatest Vol 2' album cover from 1972, plus the CD inner & back photos are from the Golders Green concert in b/w.
Also recently released is the EMI/Warners 'Five Original Albums' set which includes the group's first five studio albums all in mono; 'Stay With The Hollies' (1964), 'In The Hollies Style' (1964), 'Hollies' (1965), 'Would You Believe ?' (1966) and 'For Certain Because...' (1966)
- this set costs just over eleven UK Pounds from Amazon UK. |

There is also a DVD version, quite nice to see the boys with a full orchestra. |
