For those Hollies fans who listen to Christian music (and even if you don't!) Peter will be singing on Songs of Praise on BBC 1 at 5pm on Sunday September 8th. The programme should be on iplayer soon after that.
Those of you who heard Peter sing this beautiful old hymn about Jesus- "The old rugged cross"- will have confirmation that we are very lucky to have such a versatile and talented man as part of the best band in the world!
ps If you go to www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b039bt69 you will hear Peter's new version of "He ain't heavy". It is played 1 hour 26 minutes into the programme (Good Morning Sunday on radio 2)
A bonus which comes from solo gigs by band members is that the Hollies always get mentioned! |

It is strange to be posting a reply to my own message but earlier today I edited my post of Sept. 4th and as the date has not changed you may miss the information I added! |

Hi Emily!
Thank you!
Unfortunately, I’m not able to watch BBC on Iplayer from where I live, but your link works fine!
Could you please post a link to Songs of Praise as well?
I would really appreciate it!

www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b03b4ht6 should work until 5pm BST on Sept.15th.
If you don't want to watch the whole programme Peter is shown speaking about the hymn at the start then he is singing 7 minutes later. Enjoy! |

Thank you very much, Emily and An!
And Peter! I also listened to The Lord is My Shepherd, again. Beautiful. |

This is just beautiful, and Peter Howarth sings beautifully. I guess we'll never see the Hollies in Ohio again, so these posts are a real treat. Thank you, so much, for posting that link. |

Honestly Janice, I doubt we will ever see the Hollies in the U.S. again ... oh how sad. |

It issad, but I do think that Hollies fans who aren't able to see the band in concert are still incredibly fortunate to have this forum. I didn't find it until a month or so ago, as I'm going through a Hollies revival so-to-speak and started looking for information about them. Even if I can't see them in person, I can still read reports from those who can, and I can enjoy watching videos and listening to all of their incredible music. Think of all those bands, from the 60s, whose members have completely disappeared, never to be heard from or about again. |
