I will need to borrow your set list sherb when I do my review on my days off early next week,
Brilliant show, the band was in great voice, they all looked like they were having a fun time on stage, I was so pleased to see Tony sing Too Young To Be Married, met another fan from Perth for the first time, caught up with Christine and Jemima from Adelaide, friends we went with said He Aint Heavy was the best they had heard it sung, great credit to Peter, just a wonderful night, thanks a million lads.

Great photo Anthony. The lady from Perth must be the same one that I met in Sydney. she sent me a private message last week and I replied and told her where I'll be sitting and before the concert began she came to me and said are you Susie? and I said yes, we had a chat for a couple of minutes and then she went back to her seat. She said that she was going to see the band in Melbourne.
Also it is great that you got to meet up with Christine and little Jemima too. |

Hi Susie,
You could say a night with the Hollies is a real social event, it's was nice to catch up with old and new friends. I'm off from Tuesday and I'll write a review for the site.
The show had some touching moments as well as great rock and roll. |

The Hollies rock! We made the trek over from Perth for both the Sydney(front row) and Melbourne(second row) shows. They just seem to improve with age and have taken their performances to another level. Those guitar solos just blew me away.
I have loved reading the Fan Forum for many years but have been reluctant to join. Anthony encouraged me to make a contribution and The Hollies inspired me.
My first Hollies concert was as a 16 year old in early 1975. This was followed up by 1976. Living in Perth, a lovely but isolated city, I lost track of them for a while but in the last five years have been attending their concerts, wherever in the world I need to go.
I almost didn't make the Sydney as Melbourne shows as my dear Dad's funeral was a couple of days prior to the tour. Their performances have been a wonderful distraction at a sad time.
Can't wait for my next concert.

Hi Maraine,
Nice to see your post, you really know how to get the best seats in the house, well done.
I wrote a review of the show and Rob' already posted it.
1975 was a great year for us Hollies fans

A big thank you to Anthony, Susie and Malcolm for the reviews, I enjoyed reading them and I'm even more impatient for the UK spring tour now |

THANK YOU to all in Australia who posted reports of the concerts!
Christine, it is so good to know that Jemima enjoyed her first big concert and that she has told her school friends all about it!
My daughters are fans of the music of AC DC, Bon Jovi, ELO and the like, so as soon as the live CD is available one copy will be on the way to West Wales and another to West Virginia to remind them what they have been missing since they left home! |
