Hey guys,
I came across a website recently that listed many of the Hollies TV appearances. Im surprised at the sheer number of TV spots. You can also see in the boxset booklet that they appeared in TV with Mikael Rickfors singing. I sure would love to see that.
I've seen them sing Look through Any Window live on Beat Club. I know there is a DVD with four other songs from Beat Club (a mix of live an lip-synched?)
Also, I downloaded 1 min of them doing Long Cool Woman on TV with Allan Clarke from, I guess, '72.
Finally, I know the ABBEY ROAD STORY on BBC featured footage of them recording On a Carousel in the studio.
Is there anyone out there collecting any of these TV appearances? Do they surface any place?
Recently they released A Best of Cat Stevens CD and threw in a DVD with a few TV appearances which was very cool. It would be nice if The Hollies could do this.

Hi Michael, several clips have appeared on DVD in recent years but they are few and far between. The latest one I found is 'Remebering The Seventies Vol 1' which features 'Too Young To Be Married' and 'Long Cool Woman'. There are a further two volumes one of which features 'The Air That I Breath'. The DVDs are released on the Dutch label BR Music who have also released some very good compilations of the hollies over the last ten years.

PS you may be tempted to think something slightly controversial once you've seen 'Too Young To Be Married' |

Thanks for the info. Im really glad to hear there is a recording of Too Young To be Married. It's a killer song.
Ive tracked down the DVD. Its a bit irritating that the four hollies songs are spread over 4 DVDs but what can you do.

Well it's something I've been curious about for twenty eight years and this video more or less confirms it.

Tell us more Gordon, you like to keep us on the edge of our seats.
Can anybody tell me about the Too Young To Be Married video clip? I have one that was recorded here in 1971 for a Hollies special, I thought Tony's guitar work was great, he had trouble keeping his head still.
Bye all,
Anthony |

I've got footage of him playing bass - on I Can't Tell The Bottom From The Top he's like one of them little dogs that sit on the parcel shelf of a car --- head bobbing away. He could have done his neck a serious injury! |

Hi Gordon and James,
Gordon they played the song live on the TV special, Allan was seated and had a moustache, we go plenty of Tony's head shots, it's a great clip.
Hi James, "I don't have the I can't tell the bottom from the Top" video but most videos of the band in the 70's Tony loves to nod his head all the time. Pity they jut can't put all these clips from DVD's onto one DVD.
Bye,
Anthony |

Hi Anthony
I just commented on another band messageboard about record companies not knowing their markets: look at this board - loads of fans want:
1. BBC Sessions
2. Out On The Road Remastered CD
3. CD Release of the legendary live performance from '68 with Nash
4. Rarities Vol #2
5. Miscellaneous live material
6. DVD of TV performances
7. Live album of current line-up
8. NEW FECKING STUDIO ALBUM!!!!!
....and what will we get....the millionth re-has of the hits all of us have over and over and over again... |

Someone could/should make a compilation DVDR or VCD of all the various Hollies performances scattered around on different DVDs, tapes and TV channels.
