Yes, I found the quote in my Aura anthology.
It's not a surprise that Allan didn't write for The Hollies' "5317704" album except for "Satellite Three". He must have been very occupied with writing own material for "I Wasn't Born Yesterday" and "Legendary Heroes". And after "Buddy Holly" there was no chance anymore for a Clarke/Sylvester/Hicks tune .
But still I can't see any reason why he didn't like "A Crazy Steal". I would like to hear a more precise reason because I can't understand his view on this album. But there isn't anything more precise, isn't it ?
Oh and I wanted to say something related to Clapton's "Another Ticket". It's a long time ago that I have listened to that album but after I have read Gee's post I tried to remember it (I don't have it anymore) and I think that you can actually hear him singing the second voice on the country song "Black Rose" on this album which is my favourite song on "Another Ticket". Or isn't it Gary Brooker in the chorus of "Black Rose" sharing the vocals with Clapton ?
