Just wondering how 'Staying Power' stacks up against 'Then, Now Always. Thoughts?

I'd say it's pretty much just as like how "Hollies Style" was after "Stay with..." in 1964 , "Sing Hollies" was after "Dylan"in 1969 ...."Out on The Road" after "Romany" in 1973 etc.....

That is a NEW version of The Hollies feeling more Confident and moving forward....EACH version's SECOND Studio album has seen a BIG step forward...

Gee - I agree wholeheartedly with you regarding "Hearts Don't Lie", "I Would Fly", and "One Way Ticket" as potential singles. I personally would exclude "If You See Her" from your list. Thanks for your ever informative input on the Hollies new CD.

Thanks Gee
I would agree with your choices as singles. I really love "One way Ticket" and Think that " If you see her" is a potential hit as well. I have had the new album for about a week now, and I must admit I am very drawn to want to listen to it. It has a good vibe to it. Not just the songs but the cover artwork just seems to set a good feel and gives the album a solid feel to it. This album to my thinking is a cut or two above Staying Power, even though I quite like that album. But "Now Then Always" has a much more earthy fell to it. As Gee made the point about Bobbies druming, it is so good to hear him drumming much more and not using drum machines and samples. Also Tony's singing the title track, this for me really takes you back to the Days of "Romany" "Out On The Road" it feels like the Hollies of old , but we have a modern sounding Hollies as well. Also great to hear much more of Tony's guitar work and the keyboards on this album sound great. Overall what works for me is the balance of the instruments is far better on this album, Keyboards don't dominate the songs, harmonies are much more distinct, guitars more prominant, Drums are great. Thanks to the Hollies for this album. I think they have a potential smash hit album here in "Then, Now Always"
Cheers Ray

Any chance EMI or another label will pick up the CD and market it? My feeling is that if no one does, the CD goes unheard for the most part. Also, will there be a single released from the CD?
