Thought I'd share this with everyone. It's Bon Jovi slanted but note the mention of Nash and The Hollies.
"On June 18 -- about six weeks after being inducted into the New Jersey Hall of Fame, on May 3 -- Jon Bon Jovi will enter the Songwriters Hall of Fame. He and Richie Sambora, who write songs together for the group Bon Jovi, will enter as a team. Other honorees will include Felix Cavaliere and Eddie Brigati of The (Young) Rascals; Roger Cook and Roger Greenaway (writers of hits for groups like The Fortunes, The Hollies and Gary Lewis and the Playboys); Crosby, Stills and Nash; Galt MacDermot, James Rado and the late Gerome Ragni (the team behind the counterculture classic "Hair"); and Stephen Schwartz (musicals "Wicked," "Godspell" and "Pippin"). The ceremony will take place at New York's Marriott Marquis Hotel. For information, visit songhall.org." |

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't most CSN songs NOT written collectively, but instead each of the trio has their own songs?
And yes, David Crosby has, uh, not very many songs worthy of mention (I'm being charitable) as a songwriter. Guinevere and Almost Cut My Hair don't exactly cut the mustard for any hall of fame honors, if you ask me. |
