JACKSONVILLE, Fla. —Bo Diddley, a founding father of rock 'n' roll whose distinctive "shave and a haircut, two bits" rhythm and innovative guitar effects inspired legions of other musicians, died Monday after months of ill health. He was 79. |

One of the Rock'n'Roll heroes is dead. Although I don't know much about him I know that he was a big influence on all rock artists that came after him, especially Elvis. And just like Chuck Berry or Little Richard he will remain a Rock'n'Roll legend.
(But I must say that 79 is a blessed age, isn't it ? At least, you cannot say that he died too young like many other legends). |

My two biggest memories of him were when he was in the Nike "You Don't Know Bo" television commercials, back when Bo Jackson was still a star. And then, of course, he was in the George Thoroughgood "Bad To The Bone" video. |
